The Buffalo Bills were in a similar situation, and they also smartly hit a position of need early and often by grabbing edges Gregory Rousseau and Carlos Basham Jr. in the first two rounds. Put it all together and it was an ideal draft haul for a contending team that merely needed to tweak and patch. They smartly doubled down on receiver and the edge, and fourth-round wideout Tylan Wallace was a particularly strong value pick. He's tough, dynamic, versatile and polished enough to make an immediate impact if needed. That afforded Baltimore the luxury to take a project in enticing cornerback Brandon Stephens with their other third-rounder, and they loaded up on depth with a total of eight picks in the first five rounds. 31 lands in an ideal environment to develop as a rookie.īeyond that, the interior offensive line has been shaky since the end of the Marshal Yanda era, so I have no qualms with the Ravens spending a third-round pick on the mountainous Ben Cleveland at guard. Rashod Bateman easily could have gone off the board earlier than 27th, and pass-rusher Jayson Oweh is a physical marvel who at pick No. The Baltimore Ravens needed help at wide receiver and on the edge and they addressed both areas without significantly reaching in Round 1. They also loaded up with nine selections in the first six rounds, which is nice because this whole thing is a crapshoot. Pitts could be a Hall of Famer, though, and I like Ogundeji's ceiling after three years of steady progress at Notre Dame. They got good value and addressed a major need with third-round guard Jalen Mayfield, who yours truly viewed as a potential first-round pick, but it's silly they didn't take a cornerback or edge defender until grabbing Darren Hall in Round 4 and Adetokunbo Ogundeji in Round 6. That brings their grade down a little, as does the fact safety Richie Grant was a major reach with the polished Trevon Moehrig still on the board in the second round. That said, there's a chance they'll eventually regret not lining up soon-to-be 36-year-old quarterback Matt Ryan's replacement with that No. After that I will be very active during Free Agency to give everybody the Latest News.Few would argue that tight end Kyle Pitts isn't one of the top five players in this draft class, and he should make the Atlanta Falcons better in 2021. I am going to either make a Free Agency preview tomorrow or the 27th. I am not going to give the teams that did not make any impact on this draft a grade and the reason is because their is nothing to explain about those teams. He is a very talented player and has the athletic ability to be a huge threat to come. Just because of 1 injury doesn’t make me think that he is only a second round take. or drafted a Center to replace Lopez if he leaves or because he is easily replaceable.Įnding up with Bol Bol in this class in the Second Round is the biggest steal of the draft by far. The Bucks didn’t end up with anybody in this draft which will be a huge mistake for the future. He has the potential to help Curry in the backcourt for minimum 1 year if Klay leaves. Jordan Poole is a steal of a pick in my opinion. I hate to say it, but the Warriors were very impressive in the class after all of the stuff that has been happening involving injuries and free agency. He was a huge steal for them and need for the team. I love the Nassir Little pick obviously and the Blazers had the mindset of not adding another star, but adding role playing players and that is what they do with Little. I can’t say too much about their prospects, but I saw position needs for the Jazz and I think that they filled those holes well. The 76ers dynasty is going to be the next big thing for this new 2020 decade. These explanations are going to get a little vague, but this 76ers team got two guys who have a very high ceiling for the future which is already pretty scary. I do think there was a really good second round class this year, so I am a little confused why they didn’t even get one of those picks. I love Brandon Clarke as a player and this thunder team made a great choice on who I think was a very underrated player in this draft. I am just not sure on a lot of these later teams, but I am assuming that with some of the needs they picked and with Danny Ainge at GM you are probably going to be OK. I also wish they made a big time move in this draft and maybe trade up or release cap for this great Free Agency class. I didn’t know much on their prospects, but after doing some research, I have seen that these picks are not going to be big time players in the NBA. The only reason I like this pick is because it sets them up well for Free Agency. I don’t like how they traded both second round picks that could have been decent players in the NBA. I like Goga Bitadze, but I don’t see a huge need for another center off the bench.
